Aga Khan Museum Engagement Session | Lyka & Shafiq

Some locations never go out of style, and the Aga Khan Museum is definitely one of them. With its striking modern architecture, peaceful reflecting pools, soft lavender gardens, and clean minimalist design, it's one of my favourite places in Toronto for couples looking for timeless engagement photos.

Lyka and Shafiq wanted a session that felt elegant, editorial, and natural at the same time. Their beautiful traditional outfits paired perfectly with the museum's architecture, creating photographs that feel both modern and timeless.

One of my favourite things about photographing at the Aga Khan Museum is how many different looks you can create without leaving the property. Within a short walk, you can photograph by the iconic pyramid, the reflecting pools, the minimalist stone walls, beautiful gardens, and tree-lined pathways. It gives every gallery plenty of variety while still maintaining a cohesive look.

We planned the session around golden hour, when the warm evening light reflected beautifully across the water and highlighted the museum's stunning architecture. As the sun continued to set, we mixed romantic portraits with candid moments, allowing their personalities to shine through naturally.

If you're looking for a location that combines luxury, architecture, nature, and clean editorial aesthetics, the Aga Khan Museum is one of the best engagement session locations in Toronto.

If you're planning your engagement session here, I always recommend booking your permit well in advance, especially during spring, summer, and fall.

The Aga Khan Museum remains one of my favourite locations for couples who love clean architecture, soft reflections, elegant editorial portraits, and a modern yet timeless aesthetic.

I absolutely loved creating these memories for Lyka and Shafiq, and I can't wait to return to this incredible location again.
