Samantha & Adam | Music Garden Engagement Session | Toronto, Ontario
If you're dreaming of a romantic engagement session in downtown Toronto surrounded by gardens, waterfront views, and iconic city landmarks, Music Garden is one of my favourite locations to recommend.
Samantha and Adam chose this beautiful spot for their engagement session, and to make the most of the location, we started at 8:00 AM. It turned out to be the perfect decision.
By arriving early, we were able to enjoy the peaceful gardens before the crowds, avoid the many events that often take place in the area, and photograph some of Toronto's most recognizable views with almost no people in the background.
Why We Chose an Early Morning Session
Music Garden is one of the busiest engagement photo locations in Toronto during the summer. Between tourists, festivals, runners, and cyclists, evenings can become quite crowded.
An 8:00 AM session gave us:
- Quiet walking paths
- Empty gardens
- Beautiful soft morning light
- Peaceful waterfront views
- Plenty of time to move between locations without waiting for crowds
The result was a gallery that feels calm, romantic, and timeless.
Exploring Music Garden
One of the reasons I love photographing at Music Garden is how many different looks you can create within a short walk.
During Samantha and Adam's session we photographed:
- The beautiful greenery and willow trees
- The iconic Music Garden gazebo
- Open lawns with the CN Tower in the background
- Hidden garden pathways
- Toronto Harbour waterfront
- Sailboats and marina views
- Romantic walking shots
- Editorial-style portraits
- Natural candid moments
The Perfect Toronto Skyline
One of my favourite parts of Music Garden is how easily you can include the CN Tower without making it overpower the photo.
Whether it's framed between the trees or rising behind the gardens, it instantly gives your engagement gallery a Toronto feel while still keeping the focus on the two of you.
Waterfront Romance
After exploring the gardens, we walked over to Toronto's waterfront where the marina provided another completely different atmosphere.
The sailboats, calm water, and warm morning sunlight created some of my favourite images from the session. The peaceful harbour added a relaxed, coastal feeling while still being right in downtown Toronto.
